Subject of Possible Rule Making: Amendment to chapter 468-70 WAC, Motorist information signs.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapter 47.36 RCW, RCW 47.36.030, 47.36.310, and 47.36.320.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Majority of rules are housekeeping in nature. Rule also implements provisions of HB 1322, chapter 201, Laws of 1999, establishing fees to recover costs for the erection and maintenance of motorist information signs.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
