Subject of Possible Rule Making: Clarifying the qualifications for certified election administrators and assistant election administrators; adding procedures for lapse of certification for election administrators and assistant election administrators.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 29.60.020.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Further clarification is needed to address the requirements needed to be a certified election administrator and assistant election administrator. There are no sections addressing the procedure for becoming recertified after a certification has lapsed.
