     Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 139-05-925 Requirement of basic training for railroad police officers.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 43.101.080.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The change is necessary for the recognition of railroad police officers whose duties are primarily administrative in nature; not enforcing the laws or apprehending criminal suspects.

     Process for Developing New Rule:       Negotiated rule making.

     Interested parties can participate in the decision to adopt the new rule and formulation of the proposed rule before publication by contacting Sharon M.
