PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 388-825 WAC, Division of developmental disabilities service rules.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 71A.12.030.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: These amendments and new sections define and reorganize the rules governing the delivery of services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

     Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

     Process for Developing New Rule: The department welcomes the public to participate in the development of these rules. At a later date, the department will publish proposed rules for public comment, and a public hearing will be held before the rules are adopted as permanent.
