The Washington state rehabilitation [council] is a group of sixteen volunteers. We are appointed by the governor to make sure that the division of vocational rehabilitation, a service system that assists people with disabilities to go to work, is succeeding in helping its customers to overcome barriers to employment. We do this by: Evaluating program and performance data, considering systemic trends, assessing customer satisfaction, asking questions, and making policy recommendations.
