Subject of Possible Rule Making: The department's rules for disposing of unclaimed personal property.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 77.12.047.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Pursuant to SHB 1778, passed in July 2009, the department may create new rules to implement its new authority for disposing of unclaimed personal property.
Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
