Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 70.47.050.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The HCA intends to reform, align, and clarify the Basic Health processes as a result of the federal requirements contained in the section 1115 federal waiver and to align rules and processes as a portion of the implementation of chapter 15, Laws of 2011 (2E2SHB 1738, section 53), for the transition of the single state medicaid agency to the Washington state health care authority.

Process for Developing New Rule: HCA welcomes the public to take part in developing the rules. Anyone interested should contact the staff person identified below.
