INTERPRETIVE OR POLICY STATEMENT
In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list
of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department
of social and health services.
Legal and Administrative Services
Subject: Nondurable supplies and equipment, prosthetic and orthotic devices and wheelchairs, DME and supplies medicaid provider guides.
Effective Date: April 1, 2012.
Description: This guide was revised with updated instructions for providers to use the Medical Electronic Attachment, Inc. (MEA) system for submitting photos and x-rays for medical and DME requests. This change promotes consistency in this process in the agency.
