EMERGENCY RULES
FISH AND WILDLIFE
Effective Date of Rule: May 18, 2012, 12:01 a.m.
Purpose: Amend recreational fishing rules.
Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 232-28-61900P; and amending WAC 232-28-619.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.12.047 and 77.04.020.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: This rule change is necessary to ensure a safe and successful event. The reason for closing the lake is to ensure safety for the public as well as the event participants. There is expected to be more than six hundred youth participating in the fishing event and safety day program. There is insufficient time to adopt permanent rules.
