SHORELINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
[Filed December 6, 2017, 10:33 a.m.]
Subject of Possible Rule Making: Repeal of chapter 132G-136 WAC, Use of college facilities, and the creation of chapter 132G-137 WAC to include model language reflecting best practices in the use of college facilities.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28B.50.140(13).
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Much of the current use of facilities code has not been updated since 1979 and does not reflect model language related to the use of college facilities. Shoreline Community College seeks to update and clarify the exisiting [existing] rules regarding the use of its facilities to ensure the smooth operation of Shoreline Community College's buildings and grounds.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None identified. The state board for community and technical colleges has general supervision and control over the state system of community and technical colleges but does not regulate each individual college's rule making.
Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
