Document Title: CN-293: Mandatory Changes to Case Closure Policy and Procedure.
Subject: Mandatory changes to case closure policy and procedures.
Effective Date: December 6, 2017.
Document Description: This canary notice explains that a new federal rule requires DCS to close cases when a child is eligible for Indian health services and the only reason the case was opened was due to a medicaid referral based solely upon health care services provided through an Indian health program.
