Purpose: The authority needs to be corrected. The incorrect authority was cited. The change will cite the correct authority of RCW 47.01.101 which provides that the department may adopt rules that are subject to the adoption procedures contained in the state Administrative Procedure Act.

WAC 468-17-010Authority.
RCW 47.28.03047.01.101 provides that the Washington state department of transportation (WSDOT) may adopt rules to enable a larger number of small businesses and veteran contractors to compete for department contractsthat are subject to the adoption procedures contained in the state administrative procedure act.
