Granting state employees paid leave to volunteer in public schools.

    AN ACT Relating to leave for state employees; and adding a new section to chapter 41.06 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.06 RCW to read as follows:

    The board shall adopt rules, consistent with the purposes and provisions of this chapter, which may allow for paid leave for state employees to volunteer in public schools for a maximum of four hours per month.
