     On page 3, line 31, after "jurisdiction" strike everything through "35.20.010" on line 32

     On page 3, line 34, after "RCW 3.02.010))." insert "For purposes of this section, the term "full-time commissioners" has the same meaning as defined in chapter 3.42 RCW, and the term "courts of limited jurisdiction" has the same meaning as defined in RCW 3.02.010."

     On page 4, after line 26, add the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 12.  A new section is added to chapter 3.42 RCW to read as follows: 

     A full-time commissioner is a commissioner who is compensated for thirty-five or more hours of work per week."

EFFECT:  Defines "full-time commissioner" to be a municipal or district court commissioner who receives pay for 35 hours or more of work per week.  Provides a cross-reference to this definition for the authorization for full-time commissioners to perform marriage solemnizations.
