A(b) The appropriation in this section incorporates reductions for adjustments for senior certificated instructional staff at a cost of $21,170,000. All salary schedules, factors, and percentages in sections 503 and 504 shall be adjusted to conform with the amount identified in this subsection.@

EFFECT: Reduces the salary increase in the 16th row for K-12 certificated instructional staff from 2% to 1%. For state and higher education classified staff, increases salaries so that no one is more than 22.5 percent behind market rate, rather than no more than 25 percent behind market rate.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Reduces General Fund-State by $4,442,000.
