     On page 1, line 13, after A(2)@ insert AThis section shall not apply to mobile home parks located in a county, including all cities and towns located within the county, if the legislative authority of the county has enacted an ordinance to exempt the application of the consumer protection act to violations of this chapter. (3)@

 

     On page 1, line 22, after A(2)@ insert the following: AThe provisions of this section shall not apply to a city that is located within a county where the legislative authority of te county has enacted an ordinance that exempts the county and all cities and towns within the county from the provisions of this section. (3)@

 

     On page 2, line 3, after A(2)@ insert the following: AThe provisions of this section shall not apply to a code city that is located within a county where the legislative authority of the county has enacted an ordinance that exempts the county and all cities and towns within the county from the provisions of this section. (3)@

 

     On page 2, line 24, after A(2).@ insert the following: @The provisions of this section shall not apply to a county where the legislative authority of the county has enacted an ordinance that exempts the county and all cities and towns within the county from the provisions of this section. (3)@

 

     On page 3, line 2, after A(2)@ insert the following: A(2) The provisions of this section shall not apply if the legislative authority of the county has enacted an ordinance that exempts the county and all cities and towns within the county from the provisions of this section. (3)@

 

 

EFFECT:   Allows the legislative authority of the county to pass an ordinance that would exempt the county and all cities/towns within the county from: (1) application of the consumer protection act t violations of the mobile home landlord-tenant act; (2) landlord=s responsibility for demolition costs on mobile homes where the mobile home owner turns over ownership of the mobile home to the mobile home park owner ; and(3) not issuing a permit to develop land that contained a mobile home park until all the mobile homes have been located off the property.
