Requiring the office of financial management to report annually to the legislature on agencies' compliance with new laws and use of specific funding.

    AN ACT Relating to office of financial management reports to the legislature; and adding a new section to chapter 43.41 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.41 RCW to read as follows:

    The office shall report annually, by December 1st, to the legislature:

    (1) A description from each agency on how the agency is complying with any legislation from the preceding legislative session that imposes duties, responsibilities, or prohibitions on that agency; and

    (2) A description from each agency detailing the use of any moneys appropriated by the legislature to that agency during the preceding legislative session for that fiscal year for specified purposes other than ongoing regular programs.
