   On page 109, line 16, increase the general fund--state appropriation for FY 2007 by $5,300,000

   On page 110, line 28, correct the total.

   On page 117, after line 10, insert the following:

   "(38) $5,300,000 of the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2007 is provided solely for pandemic flu and communicable disease outbreak preparedness and response planning. Of the amounts provided: (a) $300,000 is for activities by the department of health; (b) $1,000,000 is for the department to distribute to local health jurisdictions for development of pandemic flu and communicable disease outbreak preparedness and response plans to be approved by the department; and (c) $4,000,000 is for the department to distribute to local health jurisdictions for implementation of spending plans approved by the department. To the extent that federal funds are available for planning purposes, those funds shall be used first and all state funds shall be reserved for implementation purposes. If an appropriation of $5,300,000 general fund-state or greater is enacted in other legislation for these purposes by June 30, 2006, the appropriation of $5,300,000 provided in this subsection shall lapse."

EFFECT: Provides funding to the Department of Health for pandemic flu and communicable disease outbreak preparedness and response planning.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $5,300,000.
