    On page 2, at the beginning of line 30, strike "services" and insert "delivery of a child under a surrogacy contract"

    On page 44, after line 3, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 61.  The woman acting as a surrogate must register as a business in this state and, upon the birth of the child under a surrogacy contract, must pay all applicable business and occupation tax in this state."

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title. 

    On page 47, line 7, after "through" strike "66" and insert "67"

EFFECT:   Changes the definition of "compensation."  Provides that the woman acting as a surrogate must register as a Washington business and, upon the birth of the child, pay business and occupation tax.
