On page 7, after line 12, insert the following:
"(4) The representative appointed under subsection (2)(d) of this
section must excuse himself or herself from voting on matters relating
primarily to public institutions of higher education."
Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
On page 8, line 13, after "director" strike "with the approval of the governor"
EFFECT: Specifies that the councilmember representing private, nonprofit educational institutions must excuse himself or herself from voting on matters relating primarily to public institutions of higher education. Allows the council, by a majority vote, to dismiss the executive director without the approval of the governor.
