    On page 1, line 12, after "(2)" insert "The requirement in subsection (1) of this section only applies if and to the extent that the legislative authority of the county has allocated sufficient funding to pay for the placement of each ballot drop box, including the costs of installation and purchase or manufacture of the ballot drop box.

    Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:   Conditions the requirement that county auditors or other local election officials must place ballot drop box at public higher education institutions on the allocation of sufficient funding by the county legislative authority.
