    On page 2, after line 14, insert the following:

    "(4) Any person who tampers with or destroys a ballot drop box is subject to a civil penalty of not more than five thousand dollars. The civil penalty imposed in this section is in addition to any other penalties authorized by law."

    Correct the title.

EFFECT:   Establishes a civil penalty of up to five thousand dollars for tampering with or destroying a ballot drop box, in addition to any other penalties authorized by law.
