    On page 31, line 15 of the amendment, after "investigation" insert "of suspected marijuana-related activity that is illegal under Washington state law"

    On page 32, line 5 of the amendment, after "(a)" strike all material through "name" and insert "A randomly generated and unique identifying number"

    Reletter the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Provides that law enforcement may consult the medical marijuana registry only while engaged in a bona fide specific investigation of suspected marijuana-related activity that is illegal under Washington state law. 

Rather than the patient's name being added to the authorization card, a randomly generated number associated with that person's photograph must be on the authorization card.   Designated providers will have the unique identifying number of the qualifying patient who is being assisted by the designated provider.

The department must adopt rules permitting qualifying patients or designated providers to remove themselves from the registry.
