On page 2, beginning on line 1, after "judge" strike all material through "county" on line 3 and insert ", in the county in which the offense is alleged to have occurred, may issue a search warrant for any person or evidence located anywhere within the state"
EFFECT: A district or municipal court judge in the county in which the offense is alleged to have occurred may issue a warrant for any person or evidence located anywhere in the state, rather than limiting the authority to searches within the judge's county or an adjoining county, regardless of where the crime occurred in the state.
