Background: A vehicle on the state highways must display headlights, other lights, and illuminating devices as required for different classes of vehicles one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise.

Currently, a vehicle's headlights must also be used when, due to insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles are not discernable at a distance of 1000 feet ahead.

Summary of Bill: A vehicle's headlights must be used when, due to insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles are not discernable at a distance of 1500 feet ahead.
