    On page 1, line 8 of the amendment, after "wages" insert "that does not require the employee to maintain or open an account for purposes of direct deposit.  However, direct deposit is permitted as the other method if the employee requests direct deposit

EFFECT: Provides that the other method of payment an employer must offer if the employer uses a payroll card account must not require the employee to maintain or open an account for purposes of direct deposit.  Direct deposit is permitted as the other method if the employee requests direct deposit.
