On page 47, beginning on line 4 of the amendment, after "less" strike all material through "locomotive." on line 5 and insert "at a speed of ten miles per hour or less are exempt from the additional train crew requirements under section 32(2) of this act."
EFFECT: Exempts railroads hauling hazardous materials less than 5 miles and at a speed of less than ten miles per hour from minimum train crew requirements. Eliminates the exemption authorizing trains hauling hazardous materials a distance of less than five miles to station all required crew on the lead locomotive.
