On page 1, line 16, after "tribe." insert "A fire protection jurisdiction that is a municipal airport and that is located within a regional city is a separate and independent fire protection jurisdiction."

On page 2, line 34, after "committee." insert "When two or more municipalities, as defined in RCW 14.08.010, operate a municipal airport under chapter 14.08 RCW, the municipal airport may participate in the process to form a regional fire protection service authority only if approved to do so by all municipalities operating the municipal airport."

EFFECT: (1) Establishes that, for purposes of forming a regional fire protection service authority (RFA), a fire protection jurisdiction that is a municipal airport and that is located within a regional city (as the term is defined in the underlying bill) is a separate and independent fire protection jurisdiction.

(2) Establishes that, when two or more municipalities operate a municipal airport, the municipal airport may participate in the process to form an RFA only if approved to do so by all municipalities operating the municipal airport.
