Requires the secretary of state, in cooperation with the chief justice, to assign by lot: (1) Each supreme court judicial position to be filled in November 2018 to a judicial district; and

(2) Each judicial position to be filled in November 2020 and in November 2022 to a supreme court judicial district.

Takes effect January 1, 2018, if the proposed amendment to Article IV, section 3 of the state Constitution, providing for the election of supreme court justices from judicial districts, is approved by the voters at the next general election.
