Addresses meals and rest periods for licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, surgical technologists, diagnostic radiologic technologists, cardiovascular invasive specialists, respiratory care practitioners, and nursing assistants-certified.

Prohibits an employer, acting directly or indirectly in the interest of a health care facility, from: (1) Using prescheduled on-call time to fill chronic or foreseeable staff shortages; and

(2) Scheduling nonemergency procedures that would require overtime.
