Extending the hospital safety net assessment.

Delays, until July 1, 2019, the expiration of the hospital safety net assessment.

Changes the amounts of: (1) Assessments on certain hospitals;

(2) Payments to hospitals from the hospital safety net assessment fund; and

(3) Assessment dollars that the state may use in lieu of state general fund payments to hospitals.

Prohibits the solicitation or acceptance of political contributions during the period beginning on the date that a special legislative session is officially announced, but not exceeding fifteen days before the special session convenes, and continuing through the date that special session adjourns.

Revises the definition of "uniformed personnel," for purposes of chapter 41.56 RCW (public employees' collective bargaining), to include court marshals of any county who are employed by, trained for, and commissioned by the county sheriff and charged with the responsibility of enforcing laws, protecting and maintaining security in all county-owned or contracted property, and performing any other duties assigned to them by the county sheriff or mandated by judicial order.
