    On page 35, line 4, after "agreement" insert "; and

    (e) Have provided verification to the department of health that the intended parent or parents own adequate assets or maintain an adequate income to support the financial costs of caring for the child or children that might result from a surrogacy"

EFFECT:   Provides that in order to enter into a surrogacy agreement, the intended parent or parents must provide verification to the Department of Health that the intended parent or parents own adequate assets or maintain an adequate income to support the financial costs of caring for the child or children that might result from a surrogacy.
