AN ACT Relating to student participation in breakfast after the beginning of the school day; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.235 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 28A.235 RCW to read as follows:

If all students in a school are provided the opportunity to engage in educational activity planned by and under the direction of school district staff concurrently with the consumption of breakfast, the period of time designated for student participation in breakfast after the beginning of the school day shall be considered instructional hours under RCW 28A.150.205.
