On page 5, line 3, after "(10)" insert "(a) In the interest of transparency and full disclosure, any reference to gender confusion in the curriculum, instruction, or materials provided to students in accordance with this section must include discussion of the most current studies indicating that those who question their gender are up to forty times more likely to commit suicide or have suicidal thoughts than peers who do not question their gender.

(b) The intent of (a) of this subsection (10) is to prevent children from questioning their gender, as doing so is never in their best interests. This is evident in studies that have repeatedly shown the higher possibility of deadly consequences resulting from seriously considering questions or thoughts about one's gender.

EFFECT: Specifies that, in the interest of transparency and full disclosure, any reference to gender confusion in the curriculum, instruction, or materials provided to students in accordance with provisions governing sexual health education and comprehensive sexual health education requires a discussion of the most current studies indicating that those who question their gender are up to 40 times more likely to commit suicide or have suicidal thoughts than peers who do not question their gender.
