| EFFECT: (1) Makes the Washington Broadband Assistance Program (Program) subject to appropriation so that participation of telecommunications providers and reimbursement of telecommunications providers by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) are subject to the availability of amounts appropriated for those purpose.
(2) Requires the DSHS to notify telecommunications providers when annual appropriations made for the Program have been fully obligated.
(3) Requires the Utilities and Transportation Commission to consider the appropriation for the Program for that fiscal period when determining the amount of assistance to be provided. |
