On page 2, line 15, after "this" strike "subsection (1)(b)" and insert "section"

On page 2, line 29, after "officer." insert the following:

"(iv) "Possible," "appropriate," and "available" must be interpreted according to an objective standard which considers all the facts, circumstances, and information known to the officer at the time to determine whether a similarly situated reasonable officer would have determined the action was appropriate, minimal, necessary, or reasonable, or the threat was imminent."

EFFECT: Applies the definition of "imminent threat," "necessary," "totality of the circumstances" to all of section 3 and provides directions for how to interpret terms according to an objective standard which considers all facts, circumstances, and information known to the officer at the time and whether a similarly situated reasonable officer would have determined the action was appropriate, minimal, necessary, or reasonable, or the threat was imminent.
