On page 27, beginning on line 4, after "for" strike all material through "steps" on line 11 and insert "implementation of chapter . . . (Substitute House Bill No. 2057), Laws of 2022 (diversity, equity, and inclusion in the state patrol). If chapter . . . (Substitute House Bill No. 2057), Laws of 2022 is not enacted by June 30, 2022, the amount provided in this subsection lapses"

EFFECT: (1) Changes the activities funded with the $1 million appropriation for diversity, equity, and inclusion activities related to State Patrol workforce to specific legislation (SHB No. 2057) that is dealing with that topic.

(2) Specifies that if SHB 2057 is not enacted by June 30, 2022, the funding lapses.

FISCAL EFFECT: Redirects funding tied to a specific bill with lapsing language.
