Subject of Possible Rule Making: Changes and clarifications to the State Employees' Suggestion Awards and Incentive Pay Act, RCW 41.60, WAC 383-06.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 41.60.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Pursuant to the amendment of RCW 41.60, Laws of 1999, chapter 50, and to ensure the effective implementation of the Act, adoption of these rules will amend WAC 383-06 to:

Clarify rules relating to the Statewide Employee Suggestion "Brainstorm" Program and create new rules for the administration of an Agency Unique Suggestion Program.
Update program policy changes.
Develop a new payment award scale for suggestion awards.
