Preproposal statement of inquiry was filed as WSR 00-18-076.

Title of Rule: Game management units (GMUs) -- Special game areas -- Boundary descriptions -- Region four.

Purpose: To amend WAC 232-28-02204

Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.12.040.

Statute Being Implemented: RCW 77.12.040.

Summary: This action would correct and clarify a description of a game management unit in region four.

Reasons Supporting Proposal: This action will not change seasons previously adopted by the Fish and Wildlife Commission. This action will clarify a boundary description and simplify a regulation for the public.

Explanation of Rule, its Purpose, and Anticipated Effects: The purpose of the proposed action is to correct an error in a game management unit description.

Proposal Changes the Following Existing Rules: See above.

No small business economic impact statement has been prepared under chapter 19.85 RCW. This rule does not affect small business.

Section 201, chapter 403, Laws of 1995, does not apply to this rule adoption. This rule is not related to the hydraulics code.

GMU 466-STAMPEDE (King County): Beginning on the Pacific Crest Trail (USFS Trail 2000) and the east boundary of the City of Seattle Cedar River Watershed; south on the Pacific Crest Trail past Blowout Mountain to USFS Road 7038 at its closest point to the Pacific Crest Trail near Windy Gap north of Pyramid Peak; northwest on USFS Roads 7038, 7036, 7030, and 7032 to USFS Trail 1172; west on USFS Trail 1172 to about 1/4 mile past Williams Hole to the posted boundary of the City of Tacoma Green River Watershed Boundary; north on the Green River Watershed Boundary to the City of Seattle Cedar River Watershed Boundary and along this boundary to Pacific Crest Trail and the point of beginning.


GMU 485-GREEN RIVER (King County): Beginning at the northwest corner of the Green River Watershed; east on the boundary between the Green River Watershed and the Cedar River Watershed to the USFS Road 5060; south on the USFS Road 5060 to the posted boundary of the Green River Watershed; along the southern boundary of the Green River Watershed over Huckleberry Mountain and Grass Mountain and across the Green River to the northwest corner of the Green River Watershed and the point of beginning.


GMU 490-CEDAR RIVER (King County): The area within the posted boundary of the city of Seattle Cedar River Watershed.
