Title of Rule and Other Identifying Information: Repealing WAC 388-519-0120 Spenddown -- Medically indigent
program.
THIS RULE IS BEING PROPOSED UNDER AN EXPEDITED RULE-MAKING PROCESS THAT WILL ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR THE AGENCY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS, PREPARE A SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT, OR PROVIDE RESPONSES TO THE CRITERIA FOR A SIGNIFICANT LEGISLATIVE RULE. Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: The department is repealing this rule because the medically indigent program was eliminated by the legislature in the 2003-05 state operating budget (chapter 25, Laws of 2003 1st sp.s.).
Reasons Supporting Proposal: Repealing this rule, which supports a program that no longer exists, will eliminate the potential for confusion and misunderstanding.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 74.08.090.
Statute Being Implemented: RCW 74.08.090, chapter 25, Laws of 2003 1st sp.s.
Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.
