Subject of Possible Rule Making: Smoking regulations.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28B.30.150 and chapter 70.160 RCW.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: To amend the university's smoking rules in conformance with chapter 70.160 RCW.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.
Process for Developing New Rule: Reviewed internally at many levels before proposal.
Interested parties can participate in the decision to adopt the new rule and formulation of the proposed rule before publication by contacting Ralph Jenks, P.O. There will be an opportunity to provide written comments on the proposed rules.
