FISH AND WILDLIFE
Effective Date of Rule: September 1, 2006, 12:01 a.m.
Purpose: Amend hunting rules.
Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 232-28-34200A; and amending WAC 232-28-342.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.12.047.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: The September goose season in Grays Harbor County must be reduced in length to comply with federal requirements regarding maximum season length. In a separate rule-making action additional days are proposed later in the year to compensate for the reduction in season length. There is insufficient time to promulgate permanent rules.
