PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR

STANDARDS BOARD

     Subject of Possible Rule Making: First Peoples' language/culture (FPLC) certificate.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28A.410.210 and 28A.410.220.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Under current rule, this program is a pilot. The professional educator standards board will make a decision about the permanency of the FPLC.

     Process for Developing New Rule:       Negotiated rule making.
