PERMANENT RULES
Effective Date of Rule: Thirty-one days after filing.
Purpose: Scheduling reconsideration hearings: The rule change authorizes the commission to automatically schedule petitions for reconsideration of final orders issued by the commission. It also clarifies the process for petitioners. If the petition for reconsideration is received less than fifteen business days before a regularly scheduled commission meeting, the petition will be heard at the meeting immediately following the regularly scheduled commission meeting.

Final orders -- When and how to file a
petition for reconsideration of a final order.
Any party to
an adjudicative proceeding may file a petition for
reconsideration of a final order. A petition for
reconsideration of a final order under RCW 34.05.470 shall be
filed with the commission in accordance with WAC 230-50-210
within ten days of service of a final order. The petition for
reconsideration shall be administered in accordance with RCW 34.05.470. If the petition is received at least fifteen
business days before the next regularly scheduled meeting, the
commission will schedule the petition to be heard at the
upcoming meeting. If the petition is received less than
fifteen business days before the next regularly scheduled
meeting, the commission will schedule the petition for
reconsideration at the meeting immediately following the
regularly scheduled commission meeting.
