The health care authority (HCA) will undertake an extensive review of the public employees benefits board (PEBB) employee eligibility rules in TITLE 182 WAC. The purpose of the review is to ensure that PEBB employee eligibility rules are clear rules that can be consistently applied by employers and understood by employees. | No mandate, but authorized under RCW 41.05.065. | All state and higher education agencies; K-12 school districts and local governments purchasing employee benefits via the PEBB program; department of personnel; and the office of financial management. |

HCA will complete an annual review of
chapters 182-08 and 182-12 WAC.
Although other amendments may also be
considered, the HCA review will focus on
the following: 1. Making technical corrections related to when coverage begins and when individuals must submit application for coverage. 2. Amending and clarifying rules related to premium refunds. 3. Making corrections to the length of time an individual may continue certain coverage. 4. Amending and clarifying the definition of eligible dependent. |
