Notice of Prevailing Rate of Wage Change - Roofers and Metal
Fabricators
As per RCW 39.12.015, 39.12.020 and WAC 296-127-011 the
department of labor and industries has determined that the
prevailing rate of wage published on August 1, 2007 (WSR
07-16-113) for the classifications of roofers and metal
fabricators were updated incorrectly. Effective immediately,
the correct wage rates for the classification of roofers were
published on October 12, 2007, and for the classification of
metal fabricators on October 15, 2007. The department has determined that this change is
necessary to correct an error that was made in updating these
wages. Absent this change, L&I will be enforcing an incorrect
prevailing wage, which irreparably harms contractors, workers
and the people of the state of Washington. This correction is
necessary to ensure the correct application of prevailing
wages and the general welfare.
