COORDINATING BOARD
Subject of Possible Rule Making: Creation of rules for the new passport to college promise pilot program.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: New chapter in Title 28B RCW; chapter 214, Laws of 2007 based on ESHB 1131.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Rules are needed to expand on and fill in administrative and operational details in original statute that was established in the 2007 legislative session.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: Department of social and health services; state board for community and technical colleges; the higher education coordinating board is working through an advisory/planning committee for guidance in the creation of program rules.
Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study; and collaborate with other partners.
