     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 46.37.005 and 46.37.320.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Adoption of federal standards for vehicle equipment and consolidates vehicle equipment standards formerly codified under chapters 204-46, 204-52, 204-82A, 204-90, 204-92, and 204-94 WAC, making the rules more accessible.

     Process for Developing New Rule:
