THIS RULE IS BEING PROPOSED UNDER AN EXPEDITED RULE-MAKING PROCESS THAT WILL ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR THE AGENCY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS, PREPARE A SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT, OR PROVIDE RESPONSES TO THE CRITERIA FOR A SIGNIFICANT LEGISLATIVE RULE. Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: The proposed repeal of WAC 284-17-228 will eliminate an unnecessary section that will be in conflict with new rules effective July 1, 2009.
Reasons Supporting Proposal: If this section is not repealed, it will be in conflict with new rules adopted in January and effective July 1, 2009.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 48.02.060, 48.17.150.
Statute Being Implemented: RCW 48.17.150.
Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.
