The Washington state department of ecology, water quality program has prepared a Tier II antidegradation analysis (plan) for the boatyard general permit that was issued for comment on August 4, 2010. This plan describes in writing how the general permit meets the antidegradation requirements of WAC 173-201A-320 Water quality standards for surface waters of the state of Washington.

Ecology will accept written comments on the boatyard Tier II antidegradation analysis (plan) for the boatyard general permit from November 17, 2010, through December 17, 2010. Written comments must be postmarked or e-mailed no later than midnight December 17, 2010.

Copies of the Antidegradation Plan: You may download copies of the antidegradation plan or any other permit documents at http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/permits/boatyard/index.html. You may request a copy of the antidegradation plan from Julie Robertson at (360) 407-6575 or by e-mail at Julie.Robertson@ecy.wa.gov.

Submitting Written Comments: Ecology will accept written comments on the antidegradation plan postmarked or e-mailed by midnight, December 17, 2010. Ecology prefers comments be submitted by e-mail. E-mailed comments must contain the commenter's name and postal (physical street) address. Comments should reference specific text when possible.

Final Antidegradation Plan: After ecology receives and considers all public comments, it will finalize the antidegradation plan and post it on its boatyard general permit web site when the final boatyard general permit is issued.
